We like New York in Summer. how about yooooooooooooooou?

Just got back from ATP New York and somehow Beef Warehouse stuck themselves on Austrailian time from the late nights. The gig was all set in a 1950’s cinematic holiday home called Kutshters where they based the film Dirty Dancing on. Beef got hold of the decks and played the deep end bar 7-12 on the friday and the Raleigh Hotel (a very spooky hotel) 10-5am.

States is usually so regulated on shows.Barry and his merry gang managed to pull off a UK style festival in upstate New York. So much so they are already plotting 2009. Well done - clapclapclap. First time I have seen such a thing. The sound was awsome as well on all the stages. Awsome is a word overused in the states but in this case with My Bloody Valentine, Mogwai and Fuck Buttons on the bill seems to be totally appropriate.

Was also ace to see the amount of UK people that had flown over to the show just for the hell of it. Proving that the UK is the best festival loving nation in the world.

That was mad. 4 nights in the mud and the dark, manning that Sound system. They upped the rig this year 40k it was over twice the size!

So first up, thanks for coming. Well done for getting down in it. Anyone get to make a kazoo orchestra? My plan was to try and organise 90 of us but didn’t quite happen at 6am just trying to explain what a kazoo is, is difficult.

A big shout to all the other guests we had.

Beef Warehouse T-shirtThanks to everyone that joined us for the night in the woods. So we were keeping it a nice blend of classics and electro pop beat combo hits. When suddenly I thought the kids need some Rage Against the machine… Didn’t think we needed those barriers or all those security that were lurking about. Ooops I was pretty wrong about that - well done everyone. Andy actually had to get on the mic to calm everyone down.

Hope you enjoy the T-Shirts, why not send us a picture of yourself wearing them ideally in weird places, we can use it to flog them on this site then. Thankyou again everyone for dancing like loons and putting up with our record boxes. And we shall see if we can learn some new rubbish acrobatics for Leeds.

Also for everyone that asked me what that track was: It was our friend Session remixing Knights of Cydonia by Muse very well. See if he will give us a copy for a free download here.

This weekend we are doing a village fete in Ebrington. If you are about the Cotswolds come along. It is free!

Glasnosthairy roundup

Glastonbury was pretty fun then, makes a change having a sunny weekend. I am always amazed about how few metal heads go. Nothing like a bit of Slayer instead of the Verve. Even if that man did shout at me a lot.

We lost a load of stuff, a Mini KP effects pad, a Retro Phone DJ Headset and I think I lost about 30 CD’s of electro/rock. My sunglasses and a silly hat all pinched while we were DJing. Also some producer called Shuan bought my megaphone gave me £60 but never actually took the megaphone. So we owe him a megaphone.

Any leads on any of the above please get in touch.
